Home Cleaners London Service Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of cleaning services by Home Cleaners London to residential and commercial customers. By booking a service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Home Cleaners London provides professional cleaning services within London and surrounding areas, subject to availability. All services are supplied strictly according to these terms, together with any written quotation, booking confirmation, or service description provided to you at the time of booking.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words have the meanings set out below:
Client means the individual or organisation requesting or receiving cleaning services from Home Cleaners London.
Cleaner means any employee, worker, contractor, or subcontractor engaged by Home Cleaners London to perform the cleaning services.
Premises means the property or location at which the cleaning services are to be carried out.
Services means the cleaning and related services supplied by Home Cleaners London to the Client, as described in the booking confirmation, quotation, or service description.
Agreement means the contract between Home Cleaners London and the Client comprising these Terms and Conditions and any written booking or quotation accepted by the Client.
2. Scope of Services
Home Cleaners London will provide cleaning services as agreed with the Client at the time of booking. The specific tasks, frequency, and duration of each visit will be set out in the booking confirmation or agreed in writing.
Services may include regular domestic cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, one off cleaning, and other related services offered within the companys service area from time to time.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that the description of services booked matches their expectations and requirements. Any additional tasks or changes requested on the day of service are subject to the Cleaners discretion and may incur extra charges.
3. Booking Process
Bookings may be made through the companys online or written booking systems, or through any other authorised booking channel operated by Home Cleaners London.
To make a booking, the Client must provide accurate and complete information, including full name, service address, access details, service type, date, time, and any specific instructions relevant to the Premises.
There is no obligation on Home Cleaners London to accept a booking. A booking is deemed accepted, and an Agreement formed, only when Home Cleaners London issues a booking confirmation. Provisional bookings or quotations do not constitute a binding contract.
Home Cleaners London reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings where the Premises are outside the normal service area, where safe access cannot be assured, or where the requested work is unsuitable for the companys services.
The Client must notify Home Cleaners London of any special circumstances at the Premises that may affect the delivery of the Services, such as restricted access, parking limitations, building regulations, alarms, pets, or any known health and safety issues.
4. Client Obligations
The Client agrees to provide safe and unobstructed access to the Premises at the agreed time, including any necessary keys, fobs, or access codes.
The Client must ensure that electricity, running water, and adequate lighting are available at the Premises for the duration of the visit. Where these are not available, Home Cleaners London may cancel or suspend the Services and apply the relevant cancellation charges.
The Client shall remove valuable, fragile, or easily damaged items from areas where cleaning will take place, or clearly inform the Cleaner of any items requiring special care.
The Client is responsible for securing cash, jewellery, and other valuables before the Cleaner arrives. Home Cleaners London does not accept responsibility for loss of such items unless directly caused by the proven negligence or misconduct of its staff or contractors.
The Client shall ensure that any occupants, visitors, or pets present at the Premises do not interfere with the performance of the Services or create unsafe working conditions.
5. Pricing and Payment
Prices are based on the type of service, size and condition of the Premises, and the estimated time required. Pricing details will be provided in the quotation or booking confirmation.
Home Cleaners London may charge by the hour, by the job, or on a recurring basis, depending on the service selected. Any minimum booking durations will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
Payment is due in accordance with the terms specified in the booking confirmation. This may include payment in advance, payment on the day of service, or payment on account for approved clients.
Accepted payment methods may include card payments, bank transfers, or other methods specified by Home Cleaners London. Cash payments may be accepted only if expressly agreed in advance.
If payment is not received by the due date, Home Cleaners London reserves the right to suspend or cancel further services and to charge interest on the overdue amount at the statutory rate until payment is made in full.
Any promotional offers, discounts, or vouchers are subject to specific terms and may be withdrawn or varied at any time. Only one discount or promotion may be used per booking unless expressly stated otherwise.
6. Changes, Cancellations and Access
The Client may request to change the date or time of a booking, subject to availability. Home Cleaners London will use reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee that changes will be possible.
For standard bookings, the Client must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours notice may be charged at up to 50 percent of the service fee, at the companys discretion.
For large scale bookings, deep cleans, end of tenancy services, or bookings scheduled for weekends or bank holidays, a longer notice period or different cancellation fees may apply, and these will be specified at the time of booking.
If the Cleaner is unable to gain access to the Premises at the agreed time due to missing keys, incorrect instructions, or any other reason within the Clients control, Home Cleaners London may treat the visit as cancelled with insufficient notice and charge a fee up to the full amount of the service.
Home Cleaners London reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to reasons beyond its reasonable control, including staff illness, severe weather, transport disruption, or other operational issues. In such cases, the Client will be offered an alternative appointment or a refund for any services not provided.
7. Service Quality and Complaints
Home Cleaners London aims to provide a high standard of cleaning services across its service area. The Client is encouraged to review the Cleaners work at the end of each visit where possible.
If the Client is dissatisfied with any part of the service, they must notify Home Cleaners London as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within 24 hours of the service being completed. The company will assess the complaint and, where appropriate, arrange a re clean of the relevant areas or offer another form of resolution.
Complaints raised after 24 hours may be more difficult to verify and may not be eligible for a re clean or refund, except at the discretion of Home Cleaners London.
The Client must allow the Cleaner or a representative of Home Cleaners London access to the Premises to inspect and, where agreed, to remedy any issues.
8. Liability and Insurance
Home Cleaners London will exercise reasonable care and skill in the performance of the Services. The company maintains appropriate insurance cover for public liability and, where applicable, employer liability, within its service area.
Home Cleaners London will not be liable for normal wear and tear, or for pre existing damage, defects, or conditions that are not caused by the Cleaner, including discolouration, old stains, or corrosion that cannot be removed by standard cleaning methods.
The Client must inform Home Cleaners London of any items that are particularly fragile or of high value. In the absence of such notice, these items will be cleaned only with ordinary care and the company will not be liable for any damage arising from inherent defects, poor installation, or manufacturing faults.
Home Cleaners London shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment, arising from or in connection with the Services.
Where Home Cleaners London is found liable for loss or damage, such liability shall be limited to the lesser of the cost of repairing the damage or the current market value of the item, and in any event limited to the amount actually paid by the Client for the relevant service visit.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Health, Safety and Waste Regulations
Home Cleaners London operates in compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices within its service area. Cleaners are instructed to work in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
The Client must ensure that the Premises are free from hazards that could endanger the Cleaner, including but not limited to exposed wiring, unsafe flooring, contamination, or aggressive animals. If the Cleaner considers the conditions unsafe, they may suspend or terminate the visit and report the issue to the company.
Home Cleaners London will comply with applicable waste and environmental regulations when handling and disposing of waste generated in the course of providing Services. Standard household waste will be bagged and placed in the Clients designated waste or recycling containers where requested.
The Services do not include the removal of hazardous, clinical, or regulated waste, including but not limited to needles, sharps, medical waste, chemicals, or asbestos. The Client is responsible for arranging appropriate specialist disposal for any such materials before the cleaning visit.
The Client agrees not to request or require the Cleaner to handle waste or substances that would place them in breach of health, safety, or waste management regulations.
10. Supplies and Equipment
Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, Home Cleaners London will supply its own cleaning products and basic equipment suitable for the type of service requested.
If the Client prefers specific products to be used, they must provide them clearly labelled and safe for use. Home Cleaners London is not responsible for any adverse effects caused by products supplied by the Client.
Heavy or specialist equipment, such as carpet cleaning machines or access equipment, may not be available for all bookings and will be provided only where specifically booked and confirmed.
11. Keys and Security
If the Client provides keys or access devices to Home Cleaners London, these will be stored and handled with reasonable care and in line with the companys security procedures.
Home Cleaners London accepts no liability for loss or damage resulting from keys or access codes that are already in circulation with third parties, or for security issues arising from faulty locks or alarm systems at the Premises.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that any alarm systems are configured to allow the Cleaner to access and exit the Premises. Instructions must be clearly provided in advance. The company will not be liable for charges or penalties arising from incorrect alarm settings unless directly caused by the Cleaners negligence.
12. Staff and Non Solicitation
The Client agrees not to directly employ or engage, or attempt to employ or engage, any Cleaner or staff member introduced by Home Cleaners London for any cleaning or related services, except through the company, during the term of the Agreement and for a period of six months after the last service.
If the Client breaches this clause, Home Cleaners London reserves the right to charge a recruitment and training fee representing a reasonable estimate of the costs incurred in sourcing, vetting, and training the Cleaner.
13. Force Majeure
Home Cleaners London shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, transport disruption, power failures, accidents, public health events, or industrial disputes.
In such circumstances, the company may suspend the Services and will resume them as soon as reasonably practicable, or offer to reschedule or cancel affected bookings.
14. Amendments to Terms
Home Cleaners London may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulations, or business practices. The latest version will apply to all new bookings made after the date of publication.
For ongoing or recurring services, Home Cleaners London will notify the Client of significant changes in advance where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the Services after notification will constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the Agreement, or the provision of Services by Home Cleaners London.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or, if such modification is not possible, deemed deleted.
Any such modification or deletion shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any quotation, booking confirmation, or written variation agreed between the parties, constitute the entire agreement between Home Cleaners London and the Client in relation to the Services.
The Client acknowledges that they have not relied on any statement, promise, or representation that is not set out in the Agreement.
